Welcome to this course


This course is brought to you by a team of experienced researchers and educators from Spain, Germany, and Poland. Our international team brings together insights from different European perspectives, allowing us to offer a comprehensive view of bilingual and multilingual education within the area of content and language teaching and learning with diverse learners in multilingual and multicultural contexts.

In the course we will explore how language learning can be integrated with subject content teaching to create engaging and effective learning environments for students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.

Throughout the course, you’ll benefit from our practical experience in classrooms as well as research findings. We’ll share evidence-based approaches for fostering multilingualism and supporting learners in developing both language skills and subject knowledge simultaneously.

This course consists of 5 weeks work and is related to content classes taught in a majority language in a multilingual and multicultural context.

  • Fiction and Content Unified Learning
  • Building diverse learning pathways
  • and Multimodal assessment in content classes in L1, L2, and L3
